Analytics Tracking and WP-Multiuser

Posted on January 4, 2010

This blog is the first I have implemented via Wordpress-Multiuser.

The objective is to eliminate the masses of wordpress code I have been wastefully duplicating for each of my several blogs, and to conveniently implement a standard set of plugins which I find useful.

This blog is the primary default blog in WPMU – the next challenge is add a second blog into WPMU.

Equipment.QueryAnswered.com is also the first blog I have implemented on a sub-domain.
This has raised problems with Google Analytics, which tracks at the domain level unless set up especially to cope with sub-domains. This has not proven easy.
Tried yet another fix last night – so fingers crossed that it has worked.

When the tracking is sorted, I intend to add a further blog Fireplace.QueryAnswered.com and so on, featuring topical posts on a subject described by the subdomain name.
